One of my close friends right from 1960s , Sri Rajagopalan of Bangalure passed away. I do remember how single handedly in 1960s he fought the HGAs 220 fixation issue. A fighter , a legal person, a well spirited orator who could talk with few words but with enough clarity is no more.

I am terribly sad and confused to report to you that Sri Rajagopalan of Bengaluru Assn passed away last night. We did report in one of our recent Circulars that he was Recovering from long ill health . A day after that he seems to have had a fall from his cot during sleep. Though it affected his health again and he was confined to bed for 2 or 3 days, he reportedly had another fall in the bath-room, as a result of which he seems to have suffered a set back again.
Sri T K Ravindran reports that he had talked to Sri Rajagopalan last evening and could sense some pain of some sort even as he spoke, though he had maintained then that he was alright.
This is indeed a big blow to our community of Retired LICians. I do not know how to respond to this tragedy. Our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family
