"Let us still hope something will happen for LIC pensioners also......provided........" writes G.N.S.

Sridharan G.N 5:43 PM (0 minutes ago) to Gangadharan, rk, me As already pointed out in my earlier posts in the blogs, it is good that most of our LIC pensioners have come to realize that it would be wise for us to wait for the tussle going on in the banking sector to come to an end to expect some relief for us.Certain recent happenings in the banking sector  as briefly furnished below however indicates that it is necessary to contain the level of our optimism like maintaining level of oxygen, pulse rate etc during the prevailing pandemic situation,!! 1) Implementation of MoU dt 22/7/2020 between IBA & Bank unions It is learnt that as early in 2018 a

MANGUDI SRIDHARAN EXPIRED THIS MORNING. GN SRIDHARAN OFFERS HIS CONDOLENCES.

It has been an unpleasant experience for all of us that since last couple of months we are hearing the sad news of the demise of some colleague or other at regular intervals. The latest one on the passing away of Mangudi Sritharan today (19/9) came to me as a rude shock.                       Mangudi was a very jovial person and a humorous conversationalist. His pleasent manners endeared him to anyone coming in contact with him. He had lost his wife only about two months back and I knew he was somewhat depressed since then. They were a loving but childless couple.                         A person with a history of cardiac surgery in the past he reportedly suffered a stroke ( possibly triggered by emotional stress)  a couple of days back and was hospitalized where he breathed his last this morning. To me personally he was more than an admirer/friend and always used to express his wish that    I 'should continue at the helm of our Assoc

Donkey's experience of actively working for 28 years....GNS sir writes. (Rich No doubt....But with whom, Sir , u were working ? with us, of course ! Editor wonders !)

As one with the Donkey's experience of actively working for 28 years (both in service or retirement) for the causes of one section (class1) of the work force of LIC I venture to State something out of the latest expectations of our pensioners. Some of the correspondents of our popular blogs have expressed satisfaction over the 'pace' of the developments in the banking sector in regard to wage revison and the consequent fall out for the benefit of pensioners. It is good because I have always felt that without our straining ourselves much what is given (good or bad) to bankers will automatically accrue to us.   In this background I would advise - albeit unsolicitedly- that the organisations of serving LIC employees /officers take a proactive stance and tell the LIC that the talks (or the so called information sharing) should be initiated immediately taking 15% package offered to bankmen as the starting point. It should be realised if the dialogue is allowed to be delayed

AIBEA circular on CONSUMER PRICE INDEX. CIR.DATED 10TH SEP.2020

That is why Dearness Allowance or Dearness Pay is an important component of the wages of the workers as it provides some compensation whenever prices go up. That is why trade unions always fight for better compensation formula against price rise. That is why trade unions always fight against the defective and fraudulent method of compilation of price index. That is why trad

Our Beloved Friend Sri R.Venkatachari is no more. G N S sir condoles.

I am extremely sad to report that yet another valued colleague of ours viz Shri R  Venkatachari departed to his Heavenly abode on Monday the 31st August 2020.,Once again it has been a delayed information. Shri .Chari,as he was affectionately known to all of us was a pleasant person and soft natured.I personally owe a debt of gratitude to him for the assistance he  extended to me in the formative days our Chennai Assn.of retd.class1 officers. He also functioned as our Treasurer for a couple of years in the past. He ceased to be active and kept himself highly reserved from his friends and close associates after the demise of his wife about three years back. We have indeed lost a friend who was a gentleman to the core. Shri chari leaves behind hls only son who is in US who had come down to perform his last rites. May his soul rest in peace,! OM Shanti - GN Sridharan
