Sri C.t.gopalarathnam passes away. GN Sridharan sir condoles.

Friends,  Shri C T Gopalaratnam one of our very senior members, passed away yesterday, May 27, 2021 evening. He was 88+ (born in Aug 1932).  He was one of the victims of the unfortunate 1992-93 retirees of the Class I Officers who were denied the benefits of the Wage revision. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.   Secretary Our President's condolence message  Shri CTG passes away With a heavy heart,  I have to report the sad news of the demise of Shri CT Gopalaratnam at about 3 pm yesterday (27/5). His son Suresh called me up early today to convey that his father succumbed to the deadly covid virus. CTG as he was popularly known in LIC circles was close to me in several ways. He was with me in the legal Dept of ZO and was also a a resident of my Karpagam Gardens colony for a long time. I cannot forget the several occasions when he came forward to help me personally.

The story of Dr.KK.Agarwal, a former President of IMA died even after two dosages. But how ? There is a clarification. So WEAR THE MASK , EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE RECEIVED BOTH DOSES

Edit — As per reports, antibodies weren't built in his body after vaccination. This could possibly be because of 4 weeks gap between his two doses, first being in Feb. Now doctors have confirmed that the effect of vaccination is more when gap between two doses is 12 weeks. He also had crohn's disease and previously suffered from chronic pulmonary embolism Rahul Sharma · May 18 Works at  WNS Global Services (Indian company) How did Dr. KK Agarwal die after taking both doses of Covid vaccines? Dr. KK Aggarwal, a former president of the Indian Medical Association and a prominent face of the medical fraternity in the country, died last night of Covid. The Padma Shri award winner had been on ventilator support at Delhi's AIIMS hospital for the past few days. Do not Cross your line, GNS appeals to Associations of Class 1 Officers.

GNS writes. I was following with keen interest the posts in the blogs relating to the reported latest move of the Federation of LIC class1 officers' Associations to enlist retired class1  officers as Life members of their organization. I had initially thought of refraining from expressing my views on the same.  However, as one who was deeply involved in both the federations of Serving and Retired class1 officers for long spells(18 yrs & 10 yrs respectively )i am tempted to react on the said move.(Let me hereafter refer to the said two organisations as Fedn-S & Fedn-R respectively  in this note for the sake of brevity) As human memory is short it is necessary for me to trace a bit of history. The Fedn-s in LIC  in its present form came into being  in the latter half of 1964 thanks to the pioneering and dynamic efforts of Shri Ashok Kaji who was supported wholeheartedly by activists at Mumbai , Delhi, Madras & Calcutta .At one or two of these centres independent associ

DK 62 dated 12th May 21. Gen.Secretary circular on REVISION COVERING PENSIONERS RETIRED AFTER 1.8.17

E circular No.DK/62                                                           12-05-2021 Friends, Reg:   Matters of Wage-Revision covering  Pensioners  Retired after 1-08-2017 The main purpose here is to inform you that we have taken up with the Central Office, matters that are of importance to pensioners amongst us, who Retired after the Effective Date of the recent Wage Revision, 1-08-2017. While the in-service employees have been paid their Arrears on account of Revision, there is as yet no idea, of when the Pensioners’ dues would be disbursed. We take it, that the Attendance in Offices would be thin, and the CO would take their time in completing the roll out of the Benefits, due to the pensioners. There are two aspects to the Benefits for Pensioners here. One is the Arrears of Salaries due to Revision, and the other relates to Re-fixing the Pension at Retirement. Since the Revision involves Merger of DA with the new Basic, there is a wee bit of a possibility, that after Re-fixin

E circular No.DK/60                                         1-05-2021 Friends, Reg:   May-day is here ….   It is a Day sucLh as this that motivates and Re-energizes the community of people who fall under the broad meaning of ‘Workers’. I quote Martin Luther King Jr. who famously said, “No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts Humanity has Dignity and importance, and should be undertaken with painstaking Excellence”. Much of what we see around us today, by way of improvements in either working conditions of human hired labour, or the Returns thereof, have been achieved only through constant vigil and protracted struggles. Today we, the Retired Class of Officers of LIC, are again struggling to get fair treatment from the Powers that hold Authority. The Universal message is that unless we stand organized and keep asking for our basic human rights, nothing is bound to flow forth on its own. It is our own unflagging spirit that should bring us results. Our going to the Court for
