Mahathi & Pranati (Dharmavaram Sisters) have rendered a Devaranama composed by Sri Purandara Dasa in the Raga Hamsadhwani and set to Mishra Chapu Tala.
This composition in Kannada is in praise of Lord Sri Ganesha !!
Mahathi and Pranati have learnt this song from Vidushi Smt.Vasuprada Nagendra of Sri Guruguha Sangeetha Mahavidyalaya (Kengeri branch) in Bangalore.
Smt Vasuprada Madam has taught this composition in a most diligent way and with affection and extreme care while teaching this composition to her disciples.
In this video, Mahathi and Pranati have sung this composition with two different Talas in two different rhythms played by their two hands.
While Mahathi played Mishra Chapu Tala with her right hand and Triputa Tala with her left hand, her younger sister Pranati played Triputa Tala with her right hand and Mishra Chapu Tala with her left hand.
While Mahathi and Pranati were inspired by their music guru Vidushi Smt Vasuprada Nagendra to sing this composition as their sincere and humble offering to Lord Sri Ganesha, they were also inspired by Vidushi Smt Chandana Bala Kalyan to sing this composition in two different Talas in two different rhythms with their both hands.
Enjoy their singing and and bless them to reach greater heights in the world
