 Dear friends & endearing Pensioners,

1)It was a hectic work for our AIRIEF Team to sort out the happenings, sift essentials from non-essentials ,visualise the various ways in which Today 24th July 2018 hearing can take place for admission of SLPs & converting into CAs & decide course of action by Eminent SC Bench of Hon Justices Madan B Lokur & Dipak Gupta. 2)The initial meeting between our Sr Counsel Sri KTSTulsi who occupies high place in the list of Sr Counsels of SC & already having had a stellar role in earlier many cases & so in the good books of the SC Bench also must augur well .Junior Advocates had presented good Briefs on the comprehensive Notes with clarifications, where necessary ,to catch the eye of our Sr Counsel & also supported by Charts & Tables with Gist & Summary to drive home the assertive & pointed rebuff & Rejoinder to LIC & UOI objections, to ensure an impartial & neutral understanding of the root of the problem, the Discrimination in DR & the sheer statusquo of our Basic Pension in IV PC mode, of 1995 vintage.Further this is accentuated by 6/7 Grades below getting much higher Pension than their Seniors, which is a gross & grotesque Anamaoly which also violates Fundamental Rights of Articles 14,16 & 21 of Constitution. It was these which Hon Dipak Misra in his 29 Page Judgement dt 31/3/2016 mentioned saying that the last word on PU has not yet been told & it is time Sr Counsels realise the ambit of Constitutional points & present their case with vigour concentrating on these earlier lacuna 3)Sri KTS Tulsi has given instructions to the Junior Advocates. Our committed Team of S/Sri MPAgnihotri & Pramod Bhatnagar have moved heaven & earth yesterday with Flash consultations amongst them & our worthy President Sri SSSaxena & hardworking GS GKrishnaswamy & have arrived at contingency plans depending on spot developments in SC .They have toiled whole day only to protect & promote the welfare of All Groups of pensioners .They will keenly watch developments & act inconsonance with requirements. They will also meet our Sr Counsel after the SC hearing & final outcome. 4)What we all must remember is Hon Justice Madan B Lokur is retiring in October 2018.These 2 Judges have been the harbinger of many landmark judgements with protection to litigants & lambasting & pulling the UOI in recent Judgements. All want to avail this critical opportunity in Pensioners favour & if all hearings, not to be many & with consecutive dates to be impressed on SC Bench takes place as SC bench is made aware even earlier of the 20 year itch & 17,000 pensioners having died or dying,SC Bench must also endeavour to complete by August 20th or so ,at worst so that the Judgement ,which all eyes & ears are waiting to see & hear can be delivered before Hon MBLokur retirement Our AIRIEF Team & Leaders will leave no stone unturned to ensure this does happen Faith & Prayers for a noble, genuine, modest & legitimate Cause of Elders & Sr Citizens of a shining, lustrous Financial & Service Institution LIC,

Appeal by Sridharan G.N 6:02 PM (13 minutes ago) FAITH AND PRAYER  deserve to be considered as one of the weapons to fight the virus menace. It is  not without purpose that even the Westerners believe in the old dictum - 'many things are wrought by prayers'. Gandhiji said that the tenets of Hindu religion and faith has universal application .Our ancient texts do prescribe prayers as a panacea for all human ailments. For instance in Mahabharata - vide Dwadasa nama pancharam an appendix to Vishnu Sahasranamam - a sloka in the words of Bishma pitamah runs as follows: "Achyutha,Anantha,Govinda namocharana beshajath nasyanti sakala rohath ,Satyam satyam vadhamyaham" That is, he swears that uttering the various names of the Lord will cure a person  of  ALL his diseases. In another sloka it is said that even water from holy Ganga can be good enough a medicine (oushadam) if only we believe the Lord (sriman Narayana) as the doctor.(vaidy
