E circular No.DK/15                                              23-03-2020
Friends,
Reg: Virus-struck......
1.   Letter to ED(P) reg. March 2020 pension-
The following is a letter addressed to our ED (P) regarding Pensions at the end of the month:
Madam Kher,
I do understand that what we are all going through now, is a very extra-ordinary time period, where for certain overall control, over a marauding Virus, everything is being tweaked, to changed schedules. I even hear that there could be a very odd extension, of date- line for the financial year closing.
I am sure employees' Salaries would have already been paid out as we used to do, every march. I was only concerned that some advance thinking should go into the steps for enabling Pensioners to access their Pension amounts on the 1st of April, though it might coincide with the Banks Closing for the year. This has to be a very special thought, as much as the one, that makes you pay out salaries of employees in march, well ahead of the usual salary dates.  Some advance measures on this count, would be well worth it, if the Pensioners are to get their Pensions in time this month end. Extraordinary times will need extraordinary steps.
 Regards
D.Krishnan"
2. Our case in SC
Our Friend from AIRIEF, Sri Agnihotri has sent the following message:
“ SC has decided to close the registry from 23/3/2020 to 28/3/2020 except for the protocol and caretaking sections. The order dated 22/3/2020 is attached herewith.
Shri R K Singh,(our AOR), while sending the said Order informed that listing of our cases will depend on COVID-19. He is keeping an eye on the situation and would ensure taking suitable steps for listing of our cases at the earliest opportunity.”

 3. Mediclaim Premium
Please do remember, friends, to pay up the Mediclaim Premiums, wherever it has not been deducted from Pension over the months. It has to reach LIC by the 31st of March, so that your Mediclaim cover is renewed for the next year.

Friends, we are certainly going through difficult times and everything, in the crucial financial year-closing month of March is in pell-mell. We, as a vulnerable section of the population, will need to be doubly careful, in order to avoid exposing ourselves to this invisible enemy, called the Corona Virus. All our matters have also taken a back-seat, for the present.
Let us hope for the best in this grim battle of wits.

Best Wishes

D.Krishnan
General Secretary

"Achyutha,Anantha,Govinda namocharana beshajath nasyanti sakala rohath ,Satyam satyam vadhamyaham"

Appeal by Sridharan G.N 6:02 PM (13 minutes ago) FAITH AND PRAYER  deserve to be considered as one of the weapons to fight the virus menace. It is  not without purpose that even the Westerners believe in the old dictum - 'many things are wrought by prayers'. Gandhiji said that the tenets of Hindu religion and faith has universal application .Our ancient texts do prescribe prayers as a panacea for all human ailments. For instance in Mahabharata - vide Dwadasa nama pancharam an appendix to Vishnu Sahasranamam - a sloka in the words of Bishma pitamah runs as follows: "Achyutha,Anantha,Govinda namocharana beshajath nasyanti sakala rohath ,Satyam satyam vadhamyaham" That is, he swears that uttering the various names of the Lord will cure a person  of  ALL his diseases. In another sloka it is said that even water from holy Ganga can be good enough a medicine (oushadam) if only we believe the Lord (sriman Narayana) as the doctor.(vaidy
