I feel so sad......................our G.S. Sri D.Krishnan condoles the demise of G.Krishnamurthy, our former Chairman.

Yes, the passing away of GK , former Chairman of LIC, came as a sudden shock to friends like me and S.Meenakshisundaram, who worked with him in Jamshedpur, where he was MM and some of us ,his friends, Managers. Those two years brought us close to him.

GK was my Guide for a Consumer Assn Project I undertook in the year 2011-12. Into his seventies by then, he looked as sharp and smart as ever in raising relevant questions in our Committee meetings.

Somehow over the last period of a few months ,we have lost a few other Senior Retired Officers too -- about a month back Sri B Y Srinivasan, and earlier to that  Sri K K Sheri,  and before that Sri S N Sundaresan,all retd EDs.

Incidentally all the four named, were well known to me personally.

Some times I start wondering why I feel so sad at some departures,when, as charaterised by the late legal luminary, Sri Ram Jethmalani, all of us Seniors, are like passengers waiting in the Departure lounge of God's Airport!
