Sharing Concerns ...

It has been some days since we connected with all of you.  There hasn't been any particular development on our front, worth sharing with you all, except that a lot has happened on the National scene, which of course, all of you must have followed, pretty avidly. Yes, that is about the Elections and the Results thereof.

 I have sent in a Congratulatory message to Sri Modiji, for his tremendous victory. It means continuity and stability for the Nation, on many developmental fronts, which have already been initiated. We are not partaking of any political party or ideology, but we certainly are for India's progress. It was therefore somewhat irking to observe that some T V Channel conductors were naively coming out with their own personal disappointment, by asking, whether for  minor things like some 'Shouchalay', and such other things, Sri Modiji has been swept back to power.

 What a tragedy that sounded! India being already made 90% Open-Defecation-Free, is no small achievement.  Cooking Gas for the Poor, Electricity in all Villages, are again no small matters to be overlooked. What use are the words Freedom, Secularism and Democracy, without minimum material living conditions being uplifted for the poor? It is only this one Leader, who thought of the basics, of quality of life, for the down-trodden, when he assumed power at the Centre in 2014. He deserved to get another Term to continue his good work. Well, these are just objective thoughts, from the perspective of India being lifted up, in standards, and no attempt at entry into controversies of political discussions.

Our Kerala H C Case on the 1992-93 Retirees, is coming up at last, for a Hearing, on the 28th of May. Our expectation is that this should not be adjourned for any silly reasons. Some of us from here are going over to be present there in the HC on the 28th. We have sent to our Advocate there, all material, for placing our Arguments, in furtherance of our case.

Incidentally, I would also try and meet with the Chairman LIC, who is visiting Ernakulam Officially on the 27th of May. I would certainly like to know first- hand, from him, why LIC did not extend the logic of Sri M C Jain case to the others, similarly placed.

There is also another plan, for the Joint- Front Leaderships of Retiree Associations, to meet the Chairman Officially , some- time in the middle of June. There, we would raise more comprehensively, the other issues where LIC could take Decisions to sort out our difficulties experienced, in many areas of implementation, of schemes essentially devised for our benefit.

 We shall keep you posted of developments as and when they do happen. May be, that's it for now.
