Three years have flown past since Mr M Srinivasamurty left us for heavenly abode on 8th July 2017 in the midst of his intensive efforts to initiate the legal struggle of the Retired LIC Class I Officers’Association by a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court.Although with all his blessings we could file the SLP and subsequent rejoinder to LIC’s counter affidavit, for some reason or other, the case has been getting adjourned for hearing and on top of it,the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused further delay to our legal struggle. The five other petitioners with SLPs have been similarly affected.
Nevertheless, let us remember MSM with gratitude for his valuable service for the cause of pensioners both in terms of financial contribution as well as personal physical exertion virtually until his last breath.Let us all dedicate ourselves to successfully complete his unfinished task of obtaining justice for the pensioners by way of upgradation of pension.Let us also hope that all case managers belonging to different constituencies of pensioners will work together to the maximum extent possible to succeed in our common struggle for the cause of pensioners.
May the memories of MSM guide us towards our achievement of our unified goals.
