SUMMARY OF GROUP MEDICLAIM POLICY 2019-20  1. About the Scheme The Group Mediclaim Scheme provides pre-authorization for cashless/reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses to all classes of employees/retired employees of the Corporation and their dependents through a Group Mediclaim Policy.  Policy is being serviced by The New India Assurance Company Limited. Scheme offers compulsory family floater sum insured of Rs.5 Lakh, 6 Lakh and 10 Lakh. Employees have also availed benefit of optional increased Total Sum Insured (on floater basis) for Rs.6 Lakh, 8 Lakh, 10 Lakh, 12 Lakh, 15 Lakh, 20 Lakh, 25 Lakh, 30 Lakh, 40 Lakh and 50 Lakh. 2. A reading of the order dated 5/2 of the SC clearly indicates that nothing worthwhile on the crucial demand for up gradation of pension can be expected on the next adjourned date of 19/2.  Having secured the court's nod LIC will surely file a compliance report justifying their actions on the orders of DHC.  It is not known whether the representatives of all the litigating Associations were called suo-moto by management for  emergency discussions today (12/2) . Anyway there can be no doubt on the court accepting the compliance report. .I must mention in this context the supreme court had clearly spelt out that it will not go into aspects of 'calculations' ( That had occurred when the SC was disposing off an IA filed by the Hyderabad Association during the first phase of hearings in the SC in 2015.
