Friends,
1.

2.
The Appeal in the Kerala HC against the judgment of the single Bench
is to be filed shortly.
3.
The Bank Employees Representatives and IBA are slated to meet on the
29th of August to discuss the Revision that is due . Pensioners'
matters, especially revision of Pension may also figure in these
talks.
4.
I sent across a message to ED (P) yesterday, reminding him of the
talks we had with them on 24th July, and the point regarding
Pension being paid on the 1st of the month , irrespective of whether
it's a Sunday, or Holiday of any other kind, having been discussed.
The 1st of Sept. is a Sunday and the next day too is a Holiday. Are
we getting our Pensions on the 1st as discussed. or on the 3rd as
usual for such occasions? There's been no response so far. They had
discussed this as a very minor point and that there should be no big
difficulty about it. Let us see ...
5.
Kolkata Assn. is bracing itself to conduct the General Council
Meeting of Federation on the 8th of Dec 2019 at Kolkata. They have
given out all necessary information for delegates through their
Monthly Newsletter of August, and also sent out direct mailers to the
Associations by E-mail. Rarely has such advance preparation
been witnessed for such an event in the Federation.
6.
Our Veteran Leader Sri G N Sridharan, , on the 17th of August this
year, went past the impressive milestone of his 88th Birth Day!
Our Sincere Wishes for him to live to see many more active Federation
Years!!
7.
Sri R Rajagopalan, our seasoned Federation Activist at Bengaluru, who
spent the last few months in bed/house, due to ill-health, is
now reported to be back on his feet, although it may take some more
time for him to resume his normal activities. Our Wishes for his
recovery to total normalcy very soon.
So
Long then
With
Greetings,
D.Krishnan.

Secretary
