The attached circular dated 12/1/2019 of AP Govt was received by me  in a Whatsapp message.

Close on the heels of the ensuing General Elections,AP Govt  has handed a Pongal Gift to the Pensioners and Family Pensioners  of AP Government by way of Additional Quantum of Pension to Pensioners and Family Pensioners of the State Government.

According to the said circular,the Pensioners and Family Pensioners of AP Government aged 70 years and above will get the following  scales of additional quantum  of pension:

   

S No	Age of Pensioners	Additional Quantum of Pension
1	From 70 years to less than 75 years	10% of Basic Pension
2	From 75 years to less than 80 years	15% of Basic Pension
3	From 80 years to less than 85 years	20% of Basic Pension
4	From 85 years to less than 90 years	25% of Basic Pension
5	From 90 years to less than 95 years	30% of Basic Pension

6	From 95 years to less than 100 years	35% of Basic Pension
7	100 years or more	50% of Basic Pension

All Pensioners' Associations need to address letters to Chairman,LIC of India with copy to Prime Minister of India with an appeal to extend similar benefits to Pensioners and Family Pensioners of LIC aged 70 years and above.

It will be appropriate to make such an appeal with the General Elections approaching within four months and more than 50000 families of LIC Pensioners constituting a  sizable vote bank with a capacity to influence the voters across the country although spread over a wide geography .
