 A TRIBUTE

When the news came that Sri BVSRaju was in ICU earlier,& hopes of a recovery loomed large,everyone prayed by Gods Grace,he will return to normalcy.But later when news started trickling he is in Apollo Hyderabad & thereafter brain dead declaration,hopes sank.What a sad & shocking news of his death.

   Sri BVSRaju is a well-known many splendoured gem.He was an embodiment of Unionism in its true sense of the term.He held many causes near & dear to his heart in tune with the welfare of the employees for continued  betterment.He & Sri Sankara Rao were the duo & the tuning fork with other activists of the Union to meet officers,MM & SDM .I had plenty of interactions with him,while I was SDM Kadapa.Immediately after formation & selection of Kadapa Division as one of the OIC Divisions,there was lot of responsibility on the part of Management  & Unions to live together, to resolve issues & problems,to set right & implement the new procedures in a methodical & professional manner.While the office rose to follow the OIC manuals & computerization with enthusiasm to become a model OIC DO,equally with discussions & dialogues,steadily Kadapa became a forerunner as a premier Model  DO setting high standards of efficiency in all spheres of LIC activity ,earning accolades from LIC CO.This was in no small measure due to the understanding of pros & cons of any issue & once any hitch is removed,all work with redoubled vigour.Both in Administration & Marketing,Kadapa was sky high compared to others & the series of hattricks in Claims settlement in All India & recording maximum near 100 % Depts of BOs & Dos  securing the coveted Excellent Ratings in Audit & Inspection is a testimony to the wheels moving in unison to achieve the objectives laid down in Budget

   We used  to arrange lectures by eminent people,Collector, Supdt of Police.Mgt experts.Forefront for marketing & Refresher HM for office staff & officers,Welcome Quotations at entry motivating all.SDM Board updated with Flash news,Holistic training imparted & Manual Summary Digest with examples,constant communication were the pathways to progress & enlightenment

.The 110 family Quarters ,the festivals celebrated with devotion ,the pressure I constantly exerted with CO for PlayArea/ChildrensPark  for proper involvement in right channel,New Year heralding,TableTennis practice &good standing at higher levels of sports,et all,many of these Sri BVSRaju used to recount in many telephonic talks with me he had, to know & comment on many Court happenings, the valiant fight put forth by AIRIEF with his email etched in my Address Box in PC,his metallic slow voice resonated to me always.In fact I wrote a long email years before that Pensioners Fedn can claim quick victory & more benefits to Pensioners can flow if only Employees join the Pensioners together as todays employees are tomorrows pensioners.He nodded, told that he will certainly air these views in their meetings to hasten synergy instead of repetitive exercises.He met me whenever later years, we visited.

    Destiny has snatched away this bold Leader ,we miss him,it has created a void as activists are few,we convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We pray to the Almighty to shower courage & fortitude to bear this irreparable loss
