Dear Sri Sury, 

1) Yes,we are helpless in such situations, when ONLY the Prescribed Special Reports mentioned in Policy Conditions & Benefits with approved Rates of Charges are sanctioned

When I underwent 700 degree Low Radiation Heart scan with special dye or whatever , Rs11,000 I paid but eligibility for CTScan is a mere Rs5000

2) I have mentioned to EDPer that Special  Reports are called for by Doctors only after diagnosis & hence LIC can easily persuade & even insist that the Charges asked for are reimbursed , say subject to a Certain percentage of CSA limit & this will be handy for the insured & legitimate too without denial .

3)In fact I go a step further to assert that unreasonable NonMedical Deductions taking place can be compensated by such provisions in favour  of the insured
