R.Srinivasan Retd.SDM thanjavur is no more. Editor is too sad. Only Last week he asked me to come to his house at Srirangam and said he would wait for me.
EDITOR OF THIS BLOCK IS SHOCKED TO LEARN
OF THE SUDDEN DEMISE OF R.SRINIVASAN
RETD.SR.DM .
ONLY LAST WEEK, WHEN I SPOKE TO HIM TO CONVEY
WHAT HAS HAPPENED ON 10TH JANUARY 2018 AT THE
SUPREME COURT, HE HAD TOLD ME TO CALL ON HIM
AT HIS HOUSE AT SRIRANGAM. i NEVER THOUGHT HE
WOULD LEAVE ME AND HUNDREDS OF HIS FRIENDS
ALL ON A SUDDEN.
I AM SPEECHLESS AND FIND NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE
MY DEEP SORROW. I KNOW CLOSELY ALL THE MEMBERS
OF HIS FAMILY. I WAS MANAGER (p&IR) WHEN HE WAS
SENIOR DM.
THROUGH THIS BLOG, LET ME CONVEY MY DEEP
CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY.
REPRODUCED BELOW IS THE LETTER FROM
OUR ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT
SRI G.N.SRIDHARAN.
Dear Friends,
In the midst of this festive season of Pongal/ Makhara Sankranthi,
I received a number of messages of greetings from my well wishers
for the past few days.
On the evening of Jan 13, 2018, however I also received
a different kind of message which was indeed saddening.
The said odd message conveyed to me that Shri R Srinivasan
Retd. Sr. DM, expired on that Saturday evening
A simple and pious person that he was, he had settled at Srirangam
though his children were all at chennai and other places.
I had the privilege of attending his Sathabishekam
(completion of 80 yrs)only in jan last year.
A responsible/responsive member of our Chennai Association,
he used to often express that our aim should be to secure at least
'something' immediately reflecting the agony of pensioners due to
the prolonging litigation. As a staunch follower of Vaishnavite traditions
he used to call me up whenever I was to leave for Delhi to attend
the hearings of pensioners' case in SC, to stress that I should pay
my obeisance to our common Acharya (guru) His Holiness Srirangam
Srimad Andavan Swamigal before leaving and secure
his blessings for pensioners!
In his death I have lost a friend philosopher and guide
and our Association a gem of a member. May his soul rest in peace.
