Hearing in DHC --20/2/2017
Our case could reach for hearing only around 3 pm today.
According to our reports,Shri Nidesh Gupta, Sr.counsel for other petitioners continued with his arguments and emphasised that there was sufficient margin to revise pensions without violating any statutory constraints on LIC.
According to our reports,Shri Nidesh Gupta, Sr.counsel for other petitioners continued with his arguments and emphasised that there was sufficient margin to revise pensions without violating any statutory constraints on LIC.
The court's attention was also drawn to instances like an ED retired prior to 8/97 drawing less pension than an Asst retiring now.
We also learn that there is a possibility of LIC counsel also might seek to advance a reply argument. In any case it is expected that arguments may end up tomorrow.
We shall ,as usual , get back to our members tomorrow evening.
It was represented on behalf of our Sr Counsel Shri Rakesh Khanna that he would like to avoid repetition of points made out already and would therefore require only minimum time.
The court then observed that he can argue tomorrow (21/2).
