Learned senior counsel appearing for Life Insurance Corporation of India states
that he would be filing an additional affidavit within ten days clarifying certain aspects as
ambiguities and incorrect assertions have crept in the affidavit filed on 18th January,
2017.
Learned Solicitor General, who appears for Union of India, has also made a
statement that the Union of India would be filing their revised/corrected written
submissions within ten days.
Learned counsel for the petitioners state that they would be filing their response,
if any, to the affidavit(s) within seven days from the date revised/corrected affidavit is
filed.
Counsel for the writ petitioners submit that the Supreme Court vide order dated
16th January, 2017 has extended time uptil end of April 2017.
Re-list on 14th February, 2017.
Day-to-day hearing will be held till the matter is concluded.
