Dear Friends, If a man offers another man a moment of peace,  it is said to be the greatest service to humanity. In the Bhagavad Gita,  Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that no man can know happiness without peace. In the Bible, in Hebrews chapter  12:14 :  “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone.” In the Quran, in chapter 49:10:  “Humanity is but a single brotherhood. So, make peace with your brethren.” In Judaism, from Deuteronomy Rabah 5:15:  “God announceth to Jerusalem that they will be redeemed only through peace.” From time immemorial,  in all religions, communities, nations and philosophies,  peace has been one the most sought-after states of individuals and the world.  The fact that it is spoken about so much indicates that humans somehow  keep losing peace in their pursuits of power, pleasure and aggrandizement.  Some also lose peace because their basic needs are not met.
