Date:  21.6.2016 GN SRIDHARAN WRITES:    As already informed, we are constantly pursuing this issue with the Central Office.  A delegation led by our President Shri Bali had stressed the need for doing justice to the small group of affected pensioners (only Class I retirees ) . We would like to inform that as a follow up our Jt.Secy at Mumbai Shri D M Pathak ha s submitted a memorandum on our behalf on the subject to to the E.D. (Per) on 21/7/2016 reiterating that it is not fair to deny this small group the extension of the benefit arising out of the Jaipur HC judgement in MC Jain's case.   Copies of the same are being sent to the units who had sent to us in the past the list of their members falling under this category. Others are requested to send their list to us immediately.  We are aware that LIC has not settled the correct amount to Shri MC Jain himself as is being repeatedly pointed out by others.  Our members will appreciate that we are now on the job of g

RETIRAL BENEFITS.  Dear Sri.Sridharan, I thank you for your email dated 5.5.2016 A few pensioners and I have decided to file a writ in Delhi High Court against the Bank listing out the irregularities it has committed ignoring,  a) the rights of the pensioners as per the SBI Employees' Pension Fund Rules,  b) the Supreme Court order issued to the Bank on 23.2.1989,   c) the observations in V.Kasturi vs SBI, d) its own Board resolution dated 26.7.2000 and f)several Supreme Court judgments, such as Nakara, U.P.Raghavendra  Acharya vs the State of Karnataka, the State of Jharkhand &ors vs Jitendra Kumar Srivastava etc. .
