Our legal team met our counsels yesterday and briefed them on the defects in implementing the Delhi HC order.just earlier in the day LIC filed a 'compliance affidavit' claiming that they had paid about 23 cr.to 3680 pensioners as per Delhi HC order. They had also pleaded that certain directions of the Delhi HC would take time for implementation and as such about 8 week's further time was needed. The case was called as scheduled today.our Sr counsel drew the attention of the court LiC's shoddy implementation of the Delhi order. The Sr.counsel appearing for LIC repeated the plea for further .Our SR counsel pointed out that Delhi HC itself had granted 9 +3 months time already and 2 months time from SC and still they are they are asking for further time .The court then granted SIX weeks time to LIC to rectify the defects .We may therefore expect the matter to be listed only after 20th of next month .The fallout of today's happening is that according to their own affidavit some more old pensioners should come under the net of eligibilityfor some arrears during the 6 week time allowed by the court.- GNSRIDHARAN
