I am extremely sorry to report
the passing away this early morning (16/2)of Shri AV Ramani at Coimbatore
Shri Ramani was ailing for the last one year and inspite of his poor health he even attended our GC meeting at Mumbai on 8th Dec.He was associated with the retired officers' federation from inception and was the President of the Coimbatore unit for the last six years. An extremely pleasant and jovial person he would instantly get endeared to any person coming into contact with him
His demise is an irreparable loss not only to his family but the entire officers'comunity in LIC with whom he was very popular.
Our deepest condolences to his family- his wife and two daughters.
. May his soul rest in peace

The Editor of this blog recollects how he enjoyed right from 1980s the company of Mr.A.V.Ramani, with whom he remembers , he attended the conference at Hyderabad once.
Even as he donned the robe of Manager (Sales) he played a significant role in the successful conduct of our one day strike programme of our Federation on 31st March 1992 (or is it 1993?) His dedication to the cause of Trade Union Movement was unparalleled indeed.
May his soul rest in peace.
