e Circular Dt. 21/12/2016 Inbox x Sridharan G.N 8:52 AM (1 hour ago) to bcc: me ​ R ​ e: Issues which are not sub-judice This is just to report that I had a detailed talk over phone yesterday (20/12) with the Dir(Per) Shri Sharad Srivastava on some of pending issues which are not under any litigation and could be decided by LIC itself without any Govt approval. In particular I referred to the following matters on which we have been repeatedly approaching the management for a very long time. 1. Re-fixation of pension for 92-93 retirees : I apprised the D(P) of the latest favourable trend in regard to a section of SBI pensioners facing similar problem and pointed out that there was no justification in not extending the court decision on MC Jain's case to similarly placed pensioners who are all in very advanced age .I made a strong plea that this small group of pensioners deserved not to be driven to the court .The D(P) who gave a patient hearing indicated to have a re-look on the matter. 2. Domiciliary med. treatment expenses: I reiterated our demand that at least a beginning should be made by grant of monthly allowance in this behalf. It was also pointed out pensioners of some of the nationalised Banks were already getting this benefit. Though naturally there was no commitment on the issues raised by me the D(P) agreed to my suggestion that the matters could be discussed by us with him and the Chairman at the earliest. I therefore proposed that there could be a meeting in early Jan. on a mutually convenient date to be fixed after the hearing in the Delhi HC on 4/1.
