Re-fixation of pension for 92-93 retirees
Members are aware that we have been following up assiduously for the past 3 years the vexed issue of refixation of pensions of the small number of pensioners who had retired during the period of 1/8/92 and 30/3/93.
The matter came up for serious discussions at the meeting held at Delhi on 26/5 and it was decided that since we have waited enough for positive response from LIC we should immediately cause a legal notice to be served as a prelude to our approaching the judiciary on this issue also if necessary.

We would like to inform that in quick implementation of the said decision, a notice on our behalf has been sent yesterday (1/6/2017) on our behalf by a senior advocate experienced in service matters calling upon LIC to act on the stand of the Hon'ble Supreme court in MC Jain's case and extend the benefit to all similarly placed retirees within two months.
Now that we have taken a serious step, let us wait and see whether we should go to court on this issue as well hoping in the meantime for a favorable response. We may add that the govt has also been made a party to the notice.
