J.R.Joshi, Ex LIC Chairman who held ground on his own conviction .. is NO MORE. GNS pay tributes.

The sad news of the demise of Shri JR Joshi some three or four days back appears to have been mysteriously delayed to come to light. In LIC we don't seem tohave the culture to come out with official notifications on even the demise of former heads of the institution!wha Be that as it may Shri JR Joshi's demise marks , perhaps, the end of the small list of a VERY few former chiefs of LIC who believed in steering the organization according to their own convictions and based on their own assessments of the situations in the best interests of policyholders or employees as the case may be.For instance he stood firm against the tinkering of the structure of LIc when it was sought to be split into five four decades.Unfortunately what one has been able to see since then, successive chairmen,/ MDs who would be cotent with gloating over the performance of LiC year over year but always remain goody- goody with the Babus of the Fin.Ministry irrespective of their own convictions and out of

GNS WRITES ABOUT a new translation of BHAGAWAT GITA in HINDI LANGUAGE... BY HIS FRIEND SHRI PREM PRAKSH DHAMIJA OF GHAZIABAD.

It gives me immense pleasure in sharing the following information with all pensioners.  My longtime friend and a seasoned activist for pensioners' cause shri. Prem Prakash Dhamija of Ghaziabad has brought out a book carrying his Hindi translation of the Bhagvat Gita. The holy text is known to have been translated by many people in many languages but it is a matter of pride for us that one of our own men has also done that job now. I wonder how Shri Dhamija could have kept aside thoughts on upgradation, peñsion anamolies etc and undertook this tremendous work!  Even for one like me with limited Knowledge of Hindi, it would appear he has skillfully employed simple language. Full compliments to Shri. Dhamija for his unique effort. The book is not priced and it is noted as ' Sri Krishna Prem' against the relavent coloum on the information page. Interested friends can therefore contact Shri Dhamija if they would like to have a copy. His mail ID is '  prem_dhamija38@yahoo.co
