HE WAS SURE THAT QUITE LIKELY OUR OFFICE OS DEPT ENSURES THAT APART FROM EMPLOYEE ROLL NO WHICH WE CALL SR NO, AADHAR CARD NO IS ALSO ENCRYPTED. A SIMPLE REFERENCE TO OUR MEDICLAIM POLICY NUMBER WOULD ALSO HELP BUT SINCE THE NUMBER CHANGES FROM YEAR TO YEAR, LET US LEAVE IT TO THEIR FINAL DECISION. I WONDERED IF AADHAR CARD IS NOT THERE...

on my return to the city this  morning after being away for two days I was distressed to know of the sad demise of one of my old colleagues and well wishers Shri R Venkatesan on the 20th Affectionately known to all as'gundu mani' Shri Venkatesan was a principled fighter for any just cause. As HGA he was one of the staunch leaders of the erstwhile HGAs Assn in LIC. He was actively associated with Retd LIC class1 officers Assn Chennai till he had started having serious health problems some six or seven years back.A good conversationalist that he was it is difficult to reconcile that he will not be available for a lively chat. Our condolences to the gracious lady Mrs Venkatesan his son and his entire family. May his soul rest in peace. GN Sridharan

I  was out of my HQs for a couple of days but I thought that despite the delay I should communicate the following to you arising out of the above 1) On checking up the position I find that the DR anomaly situation was brought to the notice of the Govt not during the tenure of Late shri Salunkhe's chairmanship as rightly pointed out by shri CS Murty of Hyd.The error in my earlier message of tribute to shri Salunkhe is regretted. In fact shri D Krishnan also had doubt on this 2)Thanks to Sahni ji for publishing the correspondence between LIC/Per.Dept and Shri KD Arya of Meerut on the 92- 93 retirees'issue. To my knowledge this is the first time since disposal of MC Jain's case that LIC has come out in writing that they they will not apply the MC jain verdict to all similarly placed persons.  I shall discuss this with the members of the legal committee of our fedn and the Gen Secy on how best it can be used by us to impress the Kerala HC on the narrow outlook ...
