Reg: Some developments on Legal and Govt. Fronts –
Excerpt of Addl Affidavit to SC on –Rule 56
There are some developments on Legal and Govt. Fronts, which I wish to share with you all. On Legal Front -- The much desired additional Affidavit from our side , in regards to positive effect of changes made in S S C Pension Rules 2021 , has been filed in Supreme Court by our AOR Sri Rajiv Garg ji. It would provide additional strength to our demand of updation of pension on every wage revision. The relevant excerpt of the Affidavit is appended below, as attachment for your knowledge and record. In the meanwhile, our case in Supreme Court has been shifted to 19.07.2022 , tentatively .
On Govt Front --- In my previous communication, I had informed you that Secretary (Coordination ) Sri Vashistha ji is trying hard to get an appointment with Secretary / Jt. Secretary DFS , to push through the matter of notifications of Family Pension and Additional pension on attaining the age of 80 years at the interval of 5 yrs. I am happy to report that Sri Vashistha ji , accompanied by Sri. M .M. Dixit, Jt Secretary and Sri .M. C. Kukreti, EC member stationed at Delhi, visited the office of the Department of Financial Services on 4th July 2022, to meet the authorities there and get fixed the date of meeting. But unfortunately neither the Secretary nor the Jt. Secretary was available in the office. As per the information gathered by them, the papers related to notifications are with the Jt. Secretary for further action. The Monsoon Session of Parliament may delay the process. The P.A of the Joint Secretary has said that after consulting his boss, he would let us know the date for the meeting. In the mean while Secretary (Coordination) Sri Vashistha ji has circulated a rough draft of the Memorandum for FM and MPs , to Office Bearers for their suggestions if any. After considering the suggestions, a final Memorandum would be prepared and shall be sent to you to approach MPs of your area and get the same forwarded to the Finance Minister under intimation to us.
So far as LIC Front is concerned , we have intimated the Chairperson, MDs and EDs about changes in the leadership of Federation. . In due course, we shall seek time from CO authorities, meet them, to see that some of our immediate problems are resolved. Any further development shall be brought to your knowledge, without loss of time.
