Dear Friends,
Hope all of us are safe and healthy.
There are some important news to be conveyed to our members.
1. Though many of us are getting our pension credited on 1st of every month there are still some divisions, where this is not happening regularly. Even in our own members still complain that many months it takes one or two days additionally for the pension to be credited to our bank account. At all India level there are some divisions where the pension is credited on even 4th of the month. All these will hopefully come to an end and irrespective of the fact that the first of the month is a working day or not RBI had announced as below.
“The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the National Automated Clearing House (NACH) system will be available on all days, including Sundays and bank holidays, from August 1. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said this during the MPC announcement on the central bank's policy on June 4”.
Hopefully our pension credit on every first will take place regularly, from Aug.1
2. It is reliably learnt that in the banks the family pension is to be increased from the 15% of the basic pay to 30%, as approved by the Finance Ministry and IBA will be issuing a notification to this effect, shortly. On this basis our All India General Secretary has addressed a letter to the chairman. The relevant circular is sent as attachment to this mail.
3. The Retired Bank officers Federation had met the Finance Minister on thirtieth of June 2021 and submitted a memorandum on the pending issues like FP, updation of pension etc and it appears the FM had listened to them and assured that the same is under the active consideration of the Government. The circulars are attached for the information of members
With greetings
V R Krishnan
Secretary
