A JOURNEY TOWARDS TRUTH, PEACE .

RETIRED  LIC  CLASS I  OFFICERS ASSOCIATION, CHENNAI We would never have expected that so early in the new year we shall have the sad news of the passing away of one of our valued colleagues. Shri TR Viswanathan,  expired this afternoon (9/1/2020) It is difficult to realise that the tall, handsome and affable TRV , as he was known affectionately to us is no more.My personal relationship with him was extremely cordial and I knew him as a voracious reader of books both in English & Tamil. His capacity to articulate his views clearly and his oratorical skill endeared him to many like me.I always enjoyed his speeches particularly in Tamil at my request, at the meetings of our association he attended.   The final rites tomorrow (10-01-2020) afternoon.  Address - Flat no.5. Are Reliefs to LIC pensioners on the anvil? I was naturally interested to note that some of  leaders ,especially from Mumbai have begun showing sudden concern over developments in the banking sector for its employees/retirees. I refer in this connection to flashing of news ,through whatsapp medium,on  the recent discussions between representatives of bank men and IBA ,  The next date of talks viz. 13/1 has also been widely communicated .  Good.                Without any expectation of any appreciation of my views I have always been advocating that instead of trumpeting on efforts on the legal front we should strategically watch what is happening in the banking sector. If therefore the sudden optimism is justified by good developments for bank people we should automatically be benefitted. Of course assuming that  in the reported next round of talks the wage revision for serving workforce of Banks is finalised , we should be patient for at least 4 to 6 months for the turn o
