Sir, I am not aware of how many recipients of your mail responded to its contents and in what manner.I shall like to share my ideas with you and shall love to be corrected if the line of my thinking is wrong. The process of granting increasing pensions to the ageing Central/State govt. retirees has been in existence for a long  time.We mentioned it in our writ filed in Chandigarh H C  in 2010 and requested for the same for the LIC retirees. Our present legal status is 1-The LIC cannot give any financial relief to its pensioners without the Central Govt. amending the pension rules.And, 2-The LIC retirees can not be treated at par with the Govt retirees in the matter of payment of theretiral benefits. Our main demand in the Supreme Court is to be treated  at par with the Govt employees as our pension rules are framed by the central govt and these are similar to the central civil services pension rules.
