From Darkness to Light - Message by Daaji on Diwali

When One has nothing to do, one munches the past !

A friend of this Editor has sent this Group Photo .  Possibly this relates to a session held at ZTC Chennai not less than 22 or 23 years ago. A very close friend of mine from Thanjavur Division, Late Sri T.P.Ranganathan is the first one you see from left at the middle row  A soft gentle amiable equally  known for his precise understanding of rules and procedures of day to day work , he never touched anything what he did not adore. To me he was a role model . I cherish having been a close friend of him for well over two decades. I must thank my friend Sri K.Narayanasamy from Thanjavur who  sent this photo through messenger yesterday.  Thank u so much. When I did not know what to do, your message and the image carried me back to 1990s.

Rudra ! Chamaka ! for What !! Will it bring Updation ? Asks one curious reader waiting for the next hearing .

I said, calmly, "Yes.My friend . This will surely update...." "What ?" "Your Inner peace and Bliss.. But it is for you  and  you alone  to choose  between  WHAT YOU NEED  AND WHAT YOU WANT " "How ?" "As long as you cling upto something, whatever it be,  you will not be able to silence your mind which goes on longing ........" "Is it ?" "When we are able to still our flow of thoughts  we shall surely be able to  experience an  INNER BLISS  AND  PEACE !" My friend apparently was not impressed.  Nor was he amused by my answer, as he abruptly switched over to his next question, "What is our Gen.Secretary's number ? You know?"

THE MAN WHO UNITED INDIA. .

The Man Who United India October 30, 2018 10:06 IST Generations of Indians don't quite grasp that there would barely be an India had it not been for the Sardar whose steadfastness and guile stitched together that which had been united only in philosophy and spirituality and sometimes not even then -- for thousands of years. A fascinating excerpt from Hindol Sengupta's  The Man Who Saved India, Sardar Patel and His Idea of India . Patel died on 15 December 1950. It was in the ten years between 1940 and 1950 that this 65-year-old man (his age in 1940, but it could well have been more since the exact year of his birth is a bit of an assumption) changed the cartographic destiny of India. Faced with a division of the country that none of the Congress leaders wanted, and Gandhi never agreed to till the end, Patel took it upon himself to save, indeed salvage and rescue, the rest of the country from breaking up into pieces. The journey through these ten years is over a
