Dear Shri SR Arora

Dear Shri SR Arora,  I came across your post in Shri RK Sahni's blog calling for details of the above category of pensioners who are similarly placed as Shri MC Jain of Jaipur.  I may inform you that our organisation has been relentlessly taking up the cases of this category insisting that LIC should act on the final judicial verdict in MC Jain's case and extend the benefit to all similar cases. I was advised at one point of time that since the matter does not require Govt. Intervention they would consider the issue favourably. However following frequent changes in personnel Dept of central office there has been a change in the stand due to the pendency of litigation in Supreme Court and Delhi HC on the twin major issues of DR anomaly & up gradation of pension. I have with me a list of about 70 such affected persons who are members of assns affiliated to our fedn at different centres in the country. I am unable to guess what is your plan of action and I

Today in Delhi High Court.

Today’s proceedings – 17 th  Oct 2016 -  (note sent  on behalf of G N Sridharan ) Input from legal committee members  VK Jain, R Rajagpalan, M Arunachalam and Basu Deb Das The matter reached at  1.10 PM . Not much of submission could before lunch. After lunch arguments went till the end of the day.  All the counsels appearing for petitioners vehemently contested the claim of LIC that they had satisfied the interim order of the SC.   All the counsels for petitioners pointed out that the order have been misinterpreted the order which is meant to give relief.  It is also pointed that even the literal interpretation of the order 40% relief must be as per Rule 3 (A). This Rule envisages fixing up of the pension as at 1.8.1997 relevant to 1740 points and therefore Pre Aug 1997 must also be brought to the Post Aug 1997 level and 40% of the increase has to be paid as interim relief.  It is also pointed that Post Aug 1997 envisages an addition of 11.25% apart from

What is happening ?

What is happening            For Bank pensioners In the context of  the  usual expectations on the Delhi HC  tomorrow (16/10) it is felt relevant to share the infornation we have on Bank  pensioners as follows. 1,The batch of appeals relating to 100 p.c.newtralisation for bank   pensiioners who had retired prior to 1/11/2002 will be heard by  Supreme court only on  17/1/2 017 .17 1 2017 2. In a recent judgement dt.26/9/2016 a Division bench of Kolkata HC  has upheld the plea for 100 p.c DR neutralisation for pensioners of  United Bank of india inW P 507/2012. My sources indicate that UoI will  challenge this also in supreme court.  In this background we should expect  the Govt's approch will be only  to dilly Dally on our matters to delay any final verdict by Delhi  HC.We are however fully prepared to counter any argument .Let us wait  for 24 hrs and see any immediate will come about for 5K members of our Federation at tomorrow's   hearing.  i am sorry due to pressing
