Pensioners have a right.

I just received this email.

The sender of the email is a pensioner and likely a member of Federation.

He asserts that Pensioners do have a right. 

I searched for the right.

He was right indeed.

Yes.

Pensioners have a right to

Dear Editor,

° Before the DHC Verdict"

While  welcoming the call for unity posted by Mr. Sachdeva and other like-minded friends,  I should ask when was any disunity noticed among the counsels throughout  the Court proceedings? A few instances of disagreement over modus operandi between petitioners have been blown out of proportion by a section of people to serve their own ends. 

In the name of 'being prepared' one association has literally gone to town, touring districts so to say, ostensibly to interact with pensioners but mainly to collect funds (nothing wrong with that of course, everybody needs funds) and in the process claim credit for whatever positive things that have happened so far, going by the series of posts unleashed in all the blogs titled 'while waiting for the Verdict' .

There is time enough to discuss strategy after the verdict comes, depending of course on the nature of the verdict. 

The  other petitioners have taken the right attitude like "we shall cross the bridge when we come to it". 

One  petitioner, AIIPA, has at least been doing something constructive by meeting LIC officials on matters of importance to pensioners other than court issues.

 Pensioners have a right to some peace of mind in the interregnum.
