Mana vyala Kim ? Why you get sad ! My mind !

ana From somewhere one old friend of mine from Thanjavur celled me to say: "Sury ! I am worried. That the mind of those who matter are drawn more towards pre-97 people rather than doing justice to the entire pensioners' community on grounds of DISCRIMINATION alone …. I am really worried. I replied: Don't worry. (Lord) Krishna will do justice and equity to  everyone.. I assured.

it is a bit disappointing......................D K

It is a bit disappointing that the rest of the issues on our SLP have been held over for a later date after 2 months. However, we are happy for those pre-97 retirees who will be getting their long awaited dues shortly. They may have to come to the assistance of the Federation, in terms of Contributions, if we are to proceed on the rest of the case as we planned to, which will definitely benefit the entire pensioners community. We shall certainly take a view of the position and come back with definite decisions. With greetings D. Krishnan (Gen. Secretary), CHENNAI.

Ecircular No.DK/30                       30-07-2018 (9-30hrs) Friends, Friends I have just returned from Lucknow after attending their AGM on the 27th.  I am not too well now and won't make this a long one. The beauty of the AGM at LKO was that nearly a hundred members attended, in spite of incessant heavy rains. The A/C conference Hall of LIC was the venue and it had a beautiful semi-circular setting of seats in two rows. The President, Sri S C Joshiji, set the tone for the deliberations by placing before the House certain basic questions, which he wanted me to answer. Sri Awasthiji the Secretary, added his own questions too.  I could carry some inside information to the members on the matters relating to the case , now in Court. Meanwhile I received an additional despatch from Shri O P Vasisht,  giving  greater details of the Hearing on the 26th. I give below the extract from his Report:               Our case was taken up by the senior advocate  Mr. Vijay Hansariya who repre

Ecircular No.DK/29                                  26-07-2018 Friends, At last we have some substantive news to convey from the Supreme Court Proceedings on our Case today. We could possibly have given more intricate details of the Proceedings, had any of the Legal Committee members been present in the Court today, and reported directly. However Sri O P Vasisht one of our activists in Delhi, who was present in the Court, has sent in some brief messages. Sri Garg our Advocate on record, also had a talk with Sri G N Sridharan , on the basis of which he has sent us a message which is reproduced here : The case was at last taken up today. Our counsels were present. The bench was particular to know how much time LIC would require for completion of payment to pensioners as per Rule 3A and reportedly insisted on a time frame. LIC counsel said six weeks and the court was not agreeable. The matter stands posted to  Monday  to facilitate LIC counsel to get instructions The trend

It is tomorrow.

Ecircular No.DK/28                                         24-07-2018 Friends, I know all of you are waiting anxiously for news from SC in Delhi. It is a disappointment that , some other case of environmental importance , where closure of some units were involved,  took precedence over ours, and the whole day was spent on that. The judges have made it clear that our case will remain on the list. We are not sure if this means, that it will come up  tomorrow , or wait until  next Tuesday . If it does come up  tomorrow , our Delhi friends alone will stand by, as all our LC members had booked their Return for this evening and are coming back. The flip side is that it has given our LC Members a chance to have detailed discussions with our Sr. Counsel, who was available through the day for our purposes. It also means that today's missed chance in the Court will still count as one Appearance, and his Fee will need to be paid! Incidentally, out of the six Petitio
